Booking a Commission
One of my strongest beliefs about art is what it does for us to live with it. Whether it is pottery thrown by a friend, an artisan tapestry found during travels or family heirloom painting, living with meaningful pieces made by human hands brings richness to our living spaces and helps tell the story of our lives. For this reason, I want my art to find its home. If you have found pieces of my work that speak to you, but you would like something specific for your home or as a gift in a different size, subject matter or with a certain pop of color, lets talk!
Reach Out to Set Up an Appointment
Email me at kimbennettporterart@gmail.com to set up an appointment for a phone discussion or, better yet, a studio visit! We will talk through which pieces of my work you are interested in and what specific needs you have for a commission. I will offer you insight to my process and offer options regarding the size, materials such as paint choices, collage effects and texture treatments as well as canvas or wood base materials. We will investigate options for color as it is such a unique and personalized way to love your piece and make it fit with the look and feel of the space it is intended for. I also offer options for framing in natural, stained or painted wood.
Estimate, Agreement and Payment
After you’ve made choices based on our planning meeting, I will create an estimate and send it to you with a timeline for progress and a final delivery date. If shipping is required, it will be outlined in the estimate also. Once you return a copy of the signed estimate and fee agreement to me with a 50% deposit of the total price, I will begin work. You can expect updates on progress as well as near finish confirmation, completion announcement and delivery day details.
